Jerry
Ram Photography.
Jerry
Ram was born Montreal, Quebec. He first became interested
in photography with
a basic 35mm fixed-lens camera. It became an immediate
turn-on, and led to the purchase of a more sophisticated
camera system. He recognized the benefits that a darkroom
would provide, which led to the gradual accumulation
of his present equipment. It was in the darkroom that the
magic really became a reality for him.
The darkroom equipment was limited to black
and white photography. The 35mm camera was soon superseded by a medium format
camera system. As his portfolio grew, it was now time
to exhibit. It met with success.
His photos exhibit his love for nature and
reflect the four seasons. Although digital photography is now a reality,
Jerry still prefers the mystique associated with negative
photography.
Jerry
Ram Pottery.
Pottery was introduced
to Jerry four yeas ago. He became addicted immediately.
Like his passion for photography, his passion for pottery
has been equally strong.
Working with clay is very therapeutic. Jerry
does both handbuilding and throwing on the wheel. He prefers handbuilding
as it gives him more freedom to express himself.
The two forms of art have been most gratifying
for Jerry. |
